Hello and welcome!

It's been a year since I've decided to write my blog posts every Monday.

So, what was going on last week???

My group and a handmade community called QatART with 6 of us in our board team was organizing our first event in collaboration with Inspiration Station on Friday. We were doing everything from registering vendors, making decorations for the venue, putting the tables and decorations, cleaning after, to designing the promotional materials and promotion of the event. We are all doing that on volunteer base and I can say we did a great job.
Congrats to all my girls: Aly, Mel, Janiththri, Leila and Gabi and all our helpers for making it such a success.

I was photographer at the event + I had a photo booth for taking photos of people with my handmade Halloween props. It was such a fun day!

Along with all the preparations for the event I was working on my Cute Christmas paintings and one custom ordered painting.

How did I manage to do all that?
I don't know but I know I spent my Saturday afternoon in bed resting.

I've already confirmed my participation in few events during November and December, you can see all of them under this link.

First one is on Saturday, 2nd November at Museum of Islamic Art Park bazaar from 12-7pm.

Now I'm off to start designing my Christmas products!

Do you remember painting I started in June? I didn't think so :)

This was the result about two hours after starting the blank canvas. Lots of layers in there, involving gluing fabrics, doilies, lace and acrylic paint. I was planing to paint a house...

but then I saw them in my head...

Princess Owl

Hi my dear friend!

I thought when I come to Croatia, after a hardworking time in Qatar, I will have a break. But since I came here, I'm working on commissions. 

The only break I took was last week. I went for 5 days vacation and spent them with my mom, younger sister and little nephew in Crikvenica (Croatia). I had a great time! It was totally different from vacation with my husband because we did everything around my nephew's schedule :)))) including getting up at 7,30am!!!! I didn't bring my paint there, so I didn't do much this past week. I also didn't have internet so it was a real break :)

In between of painting by order, I painted this little painting - Princess Owl. 

It's only 10x10cm and I used papers, stamps and acrylic paint.

Beautiful frames

Recently I bought beautiful little frames and I was asking myself what motif would perfectly go with them? I was thinking to paint angels or make prints of my paintings and then I just started painting and this is what came out of it :)
They are all the same size 7x9cm, and with frame 11x13cm.

Cute Owls Illustrations

Hello!!!

Let me introduce you with this three lovely owls - Tadeo, Mariposa and Estela.



Tadeo is very charming and handsome. He likes wearing casual clothes but he never forgets to put his favorite perfume. He has a lot of energy and he's always on a run. The day is to short for him. He likes helping others and always has a nice word for everyone. He must be surrounded with friends and than he's unstoppable in making jokes. 












Mariposa is very cheerful and playful girl. She likes loud music and dancing. She likes wearing colorful clothes that doesn't match, big eye glasses, shoes and bags. She laughs a lot even while she's sleeping :)












 


Estela always thinks twice before she does or says something. She's very gentle and kind. She likes teaching others how to paint or make something by them self. She likes long flights :), meditation, reading, drinking tea and spending time with her closest friends and family.

Yesterday I had a full house of my dear girlfriends, big and little one! They came to see me, my work and to help me with my stuff for the fair next Saturday :)))) Thank you girls for your help, nice words and support!!!! Maida liked owl brooches but she got an idea to make an iphone case for her. Why not, I thought???
I think it went pretty good, I will make one for my self :)))))
