My studio is not lonely anymore

Wednesday blog post #8

Surprise!!!!
My art studio is not lonely anymore!!!
Yes, I've started working on my first painting in Krakow which was commissioned by my dear friend from Doha before I left Qatar. It is going to be a keepsake with symbols and buildings which can be seen in Qatar for her to always remember her life there.
Follow me on Instagram or Facebook to see the final painting :D

Time to say goodbye

Wednesday blog post #4

Ooops, I forgot to write my post yesterday. My days are really stressful and busy. I am non-stop on my phone replying emails, calls, messages, what's up messages, Facebook questions and messages... imagine how it is, my head is spinning! I  am selling furniture and stuff that we can't take with us back to Croatia, finishing custom orders, saying goodbye to my friends... It is very emotional time, very stressful, also lack of sleep, forgetting to eat and drink... Can't wait for this all to finish, to sit in a plane, cry my soul out and continue with a new life, new adventure in Poland.

These are my latest painting, I really enjoyed painting them.
'It's a lovely day' and 'Ballerina Stella Sofia'.

Lately over here

One random blog post :D

I am really sorry for not being disciplined but that's vacation for, to relax and chill! Not stress about the deadlines and dates... My vacation will be pretty long, from 1st June till 1st September :DDD and I will continue with my regular Monday blog posts after the vacation. I might be writing few more random posts like this one to let you know what I have been doing lately.

The following paintings, illustration and pillow were all made by order in one month. Before that I was in London and Rome doing nothing but sightseeing and shopping and I also had one little break beginning of July, tanning and swimming at the sea in Croatia.

Dinosaur, Sardines and Bazaar

Monday blog post #71

Busy busy women :DDD

Last week I spent working on few custom orders and my favorite is dinosaur painting on t-shirt. That was my first time painting with fabric colors and I was really excited to see how it will went. Great help was a tracing pen which self-disappears after 2-3 days and I used it to draw everything before I started painting. Pen is called JAVANA disappearing Pen
You can find it in art shop called Art Elements (www.facebook.com/ArtElementsQatar) in the Gate Mall in Doha on 2nd floor.

My sardine brooches starting to be popular, they are really cute and each is different with a different a bit strange names (I give them names typing on my keyboard without looking :)))))

There was not much time for new creations for the bazaar at the Museum of Islamic Art Park but I managed to make one cute little painting with ink and watercolors "Vilma" which is now with her new owner. I love antique looking frames, when ever I see them I have to buy them and my work always looks nice in them.

Oh and at the Museum of Islamic Art Park Bazaar on Saturday was pretty hot but really windy so I only noticed when it was over that I got sunburns on my chest, neck and arms... not good :(
But the bazaar was nice with lots of beautiful comments. I am really grateful for them, thank you all for coming even though it was hot!

All the photos were taken by me except the ones of me, they were taken by my hubby :*

A handmade community in Qatar

And I also have some nice news to tell you, so please don't leave yet :)

I don't know if you remember that together with my friend Gabi we founded a group for people who make handmade products in Qatar called QatART

After we joined forces with art and craft school Inspiration Station and formed a dedicated board team in October 2013 we became more active.

Our last accomplishment is that we managed to agree on collaboration between our group and Katara Art Studios and we will start organizing our own handmade markets in Katara starting from this Friday, 28th March.

One more exciting news is that the story about our group was published yesterday, Sunday 23rd March in a local newspaper Qatar Tribune and we are all so proud and happy.

Dominika
