Another Market

This time of the year is really busy for me... lots of markets, bazaars and custom orders. Sometimes I wish I can clone myself :DDD

This Saturday I was at the Museum of Islamic Art Park Bazaar.

In the beginning I was melting in the sun, it was 35 degrees but later on it started cooling down with a bit of a nice breeze. Unfortunately, the part where I was located at didn't have lights so after the sunset my table was in complete dark and I had to pack my stuff before the bazaar finished. Anyway, I had a really good time. I love being outdoor and this is the perfect opportunity plus I can hear the feedback from the visitors. Thank you a lot for visiting my table and showing your interest in my work :D Thank you all who left their contacts, I have already added you to my mailing list so you can start receiving my cute emails.

My next market will be at Virginia Commonwealth University on 15th November where they invited only Doha-based makers of art, design and craft plus their students and alumni to showcase their work. I am so happy they picked me to participate in this market and I am really looking forward to it!!!

Doha Mums Autumn Market 2014

Once again Doha Mums organized such a great market on Saturday, 18th October at Radisson Blu Hotel in Doha.

The layout of the tables was a bit different from the previous times and they were worried about it but I liked this layout even more than before. They had less vendors because of that which was also good as we were not squeezed all together. More space for people to walk and for us to display our work.

My day started really nice, I set u the table and went around to take photos of members of QatART handmade community. I got a present from one of the members Catalina who is making beautiful handmade jewelry (you can see it in a last photo - yellow bracelet).

I am really thankful to Doha Mums for giving me the opportunity to present my work there.

Thank you to all my followers who came to see me and for new ones who left their contacts. I will for sure send you invitation to any event I am participating in and will send you emails regarding special offers and promotions.

Doha Mums Summer Market 2014

My favorite thing at the events I'm participating in is when kids come and ask to buy something from me :DDD When they pick what they like and ask me to put it in a little bag.
This photo was taken at Doha Mums Summer Market on 10th May. Aren't they gorgeous?!!

This year Doha Mums Summer Market was amazing. Lots of customers made comments that this year is the best and that they are amazed with all stalls and how Doha Mums Team made a great job by selecting the vendors. I was really proud to be part of it. Thank you Doha Mums!!!

There were lots of positive comments on my newest illustration made with ink and watercolors as well as on my paintings. Few people asked me if I am illustrating kids books... Lots of smiley faces when stopping at my table. Thank you all, you are the best and I'm grateful for every comment and smile!!!

Upcoming Exhibition

I have two and a half more weeks before leaving on my well deserved vacation. I don't remember if I told you but I was selected to participate in Qatar Fine Arts Society General Exhibition on a theme "From Qatar". I made new painting specially for that exhibition using acrylics, scrapbook paper, local newspapers, washi tape and gold leaves to describe happiness I feel by living in Qatar and I called it "From Qatar".

Grand opening of the exhibition is on Wednesday, 14th May at 6 p.m

Exhibition will show over 70 artworks from members of Qatar Fine Arts Society and will stay open for public until 31st May 2014.

Upcoming Art Week

From 12th-18th May from 5-9 p.m shopping center in Doha, The Mall is organizing Women's Week with Art displays at the main corridor in front of Highland and Boss stores.

A handmade community in Qatar

And I also have some nice news to tell you, so please don't leave yet :)

I don't know if you remember that together with my friend Gabi we founded a group for people who make handmade products in Qatar called QatART.

After we joined forces with art and craft school Inspiration Station and formed a dedicated board team in October 2013 we became more active.

Our last accomplishment is that we managed to agree on collaboration between our group and Katara Art Studios and we will start organizing our own handmade markets in Katara starting from this Friday, 28th March.

One more exciting news is that the story about our group was published yesterday, Sunday 23rd March in a local newspaper Qatar Tribune and we are all so proud and happy.

Hi my lovely friends!

Lots of new ideas in my head but only one person with 10 fingers!
My newest project are brooches and key chains/bag charms with my illustrations.

I presented them at the Doha Mums Summer Market on Saturday, 11th May. They got a really cute comments :)

The market was great, lots of visitors going trough the doors from 11am to 4 pm without a break. I barely managed to eat something. This was the last event before the summer as we, who don't have a 9-5 job leaving Doha for 1-2 months :)
Now I'm focusing on your custom orders and then summer break in June!!!!
