Is blogging dying?

Hi my dear friend!

I have to admit I was really bad and was not in the mood of writing my usual Wednesday's posts. I was even considering to stop with this blog and make a static web site... and then... this email arrived to my mailbox yesterday:

So, no I am not deleting this blog, I am not making a static web site, I am keeping this blog but will consider to do some changes so I can include my portfolio and display my products a bit better.

I was not active for a really long time so would like to share some of the projects I was working on during this long period.

I was really honored when a girl from a community I was leading while living in Doha - QatART, asked me to create a logo for her small business. She wanted to have an illustration of an animal meerkat and to be cheerful and colorful. So I started with some sketches and once she decided on a sketch and a color palette I made an illustration and hand calligraphy for her logo. She also asked me to design her business cards. So here is my process, hope you will enjoy it :)

Another project were two personalized hand painted cloud pillows, which are great as a decor in a kids rooms.

I couldn't resist to make a little painting for my niece's first birthday, and I've also created a birthday card with that illustration and her older brother (4yo) wrote her name on a piece of paper which I turned into vector and added to the card. After posting the illustration on my social media I was asked to do a toy so I made a toy as well and I love it, I love all about this little unicorn Luci :D

Earlier this month, I showed you my Christmas/Holiday illustrations. Then I was blessed to find a great printing company here in Cracow which produced a little collection for me - art prints, greetings cards, gift tags and bookmarks. Everything looks great. I am not sure if I told you that I joined the workshop at Slow Fashion Cafe organized by Slow Fashion Design IWAK group (International Women Association Krakow)? So, I am going there once a week and I am sewing my creations.

TWO SHOWS

Last weekend I was participating in two shows together with two amazing artisans from Cracow Ewa of Blue Dot and Iza of Nacotopocoto. On Saturday at kids design market called Krakow ŁAŁ at FORUM Przestrzenie and on Sunday at Art&Food Bazar at Pauza in Garden. It was an interesting experience to hear and see the reactions at my work, to meet my potential clients and to interact with other vendors. I had a lovely time at both shows.

I am finally back

Finally my Monday blog posts are back!

I got lost in custom orders and I couldn't find time to sit down and write a post. I am really sorry and I will try not to repeat this again.

Since I came back from my long vacation, which I spent mostly in Croatia, I've been working on several orders and projects...

One baby girl is on her way and I designed and made favors for guests, angel doll for her big sister and a toy for her.

On another continent, in Africa, my friend recently got a beautiful baby boy and I designed and made bunch of felt toys which will be hanged as mobil. I also hand painted a baby suit for him.

For the fourth year I will be participating in Ladies of Harley Breast Cancer Awareness Day. This year it is going to be at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Doha, on 10th October from 4 to 6 pm and you are all welcome to come and show your love and support. For this time I have made an illustration which will be used for the coloring sheets and for making badges.

I was also helping my friend and great photographer Anna from Dream Machine Photography with painting her Photo booth props. She will be also present with her Photo booth at the event at the Ritz on 10th October so come by and take a photo with your favorite pink prop.
