Flying with the Fritzi Flock

Hello my friend!
I am finally back from my long vacation.
I had a really great time with my family in Croatia and I've crossed one thing off my bucket list - New Year in New York!
Just few days before I left for holidays I joined an amazing community of illustrators and those who want to become one called Fritzi Flock
Come and join us or follow us on Facebook and Instagram

Our first assignment was to paint or draw our selves as a bird, so this is me :DDD

Every Friday we get a new assignment and then our leader and amazingly talented illustrator Johanna Fritz (check out her page) posts the photos on Instagram every day from that day until the next Friday assignment.
I missed a few assignments since I was on vacation and did't want to carry all my art supplies on my travels but now I am back and can't wait to get back to work!

Hope to see you soon and give me a follow on Instagram or like on Facebook.

Sending you my smile with love,
Dominika

Poster for The Global Art Gathering

Wednesday blog post #1

This month Make Art That Sells (MATS) Bootcamp for artists assignment was to make a poster with lettering for the Global Art Gathering in Brighton in June. Oh, I so wish I could go, it looks so cool and the event and all around the event sound amazing.

This is my submission for this month's assignment and you can see the gallery with around 300 designs from other artists in this bootcamp on this link.

For this assignment I decided to use gouache and color pencils.

Sending you my smile with love,
Dominika

Lilla Rogers Bootcamp 2015

Monday blog post #92

It has been a while since my last blog post. I hope you've missed me :D
First I was traveling for Christmas and then since I came back to Doha I had so many projects to work on that at one point I was blocked and couldn't put my self back in a creative mood.

One of the biggest things I signed up for this year is a Lilla Rogers bootcamp for illustrators. It is 6 months program and every month we get the assignment to submit. January assignment was Edwardian brooches inspired journal and here is my submission.

My January submission for Lilla Rogers Bootcamp 2015

I was really struggling with the assignment and almost didn't submit my work but then I told myself what can you loose? NOTHING! Only the brave survive :D

I am now looking forward to the next one!!!

Lots of things happened since I arrived Doha. I continue leading the handmade community in Qatar called QatART and we organized a handmade market on Friday 23rd January. Here are few photos:
